Picking Shed and Conveyor System
ATLUS designed a complete picking shed for the manual sorting of aluminium fraction at a recycling facility. The installation combines an in-feed picking conveyor, out-feed conveyor, support platform and insulated enclosure, creating a contained and well-lit working area.

A Complete Picking Station
The system needed to present the material stream to operators for manual sorting before transferring the remaining material to the downstream process.
The working area required suitable access, lighting, collection bins and emergency-stop coverage within a protected enclosure.

Integrated System
ATLUS coordinated the in-feed picking conveyor, out-feed conveyor, platform and enclosure as one integrated installation.
Insulated composite panels, PVC windows and steel security doors were incorporated alongside internal lighting, picking bins and an emergency-stop pull cord.

Everyday Use
Both conveyors were fully guarded, skirted and covered to minimise the release of dust and fine material.
The completed arrangement provides clear access for operation, cleaning and routine maintenance.
