ATLUS designed and detailed a belt conveyor system for transferring aggregate fines between process stages. Each conveyor features an integrated loading hopper and impact area and a fully skirted and covered carrying run.

The design was developed around the required transfer route and plant interfaces, with particular attention given to material containment, reliable operation and easy maintenance access.

Project at a glance

Small Footprint
- 2 chevron belt conveyors were required to move aggregate fines between process stages in order to achieve the necessary lift within the available plant footprint.
- The fine, abrasive material required controlled loading and effective containment. The conveyor also needed to provide practical access to the belt, drive and return components for inspection and maintenance.
Maintenance in Mind
- ATLUS developed the conveyor geometry, belt path, discharge interface and supporting frame as one coordinated system.
- Removable covers were incorporated along the carrying run, while side and return-belt guarding were integrated with the frame. This contained the material without unnecessarily restricting access to serviceable components.
Reliable and Efficient
- The finished system fits within the required footprint, providing a space efficient transfer route to downstream processes. .
- The modular frame, covers and guarding support straightforward workshop fabrication and installation while retaining access for cleaning, inspection and routine belt maintenance.
